There is nothing worse for your fitness, or morale, than to be too stiff and sore to work out on schedule, and the padding will help prevent this, but also keep in mind not to overdo it. Even us experienced curlers sometimes have a tendency to overwork our biceps, whether for the workout or, as sometimes is the case, to impress people. The awe that occurs when you lift an incredible amount of weight on a bicep curl machine can be addictive, so remember to listen to your body and not the crowd. That does not mean you can not accept praise for all your hard work, just keep in mind that you are still human and body parts can sustain damage. I normally use the bicep curl machine at least three times a week for the maximum benefit, but I do not want to look like Mr. Universe or Atlas, either. I monitor my progress regularly to prevent this, as I want more long lean muscle than bulk. These machines are great for either purpose, and women use them as well and as often as men. The exercise itself is actually enjoyable, as I can feel the stretching and tightening of the muscles. I don't know about you, but I enjoy feeling the workout while I exercise, as it gives me a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.
