Life is about choices... Why should fitness be any different?

Free Weight Systems

There are numerous free weight systems on the market today, and to a fitness buff like me, it is akin to being a kid in a candy store. With so many choices it is hard to decide on one or two, and I could spend hours just checking out the different features available with free weight systems today. The new safety features allow me to workout without a spotter, yet still stay safe if my arms become too tired or I can not finish the set. We have all seen a movie or two that shows someone lifting weights all alone and then becoming too tired.

Dramatizations on T.V. and movies usually include death, but serious and fatal injuries can occur under these very circumstances, which makes the new free weight systems perfect for a modern lifter who wants to lift at home. As a woman, I was worried about lifting free weights at first, with images of my head on top of the body of Mr. Universe. To a female, that is a scary picture, and I worried about becoming too bulky. I soon found out that my fears were groundless, unless I keep adding weight until I am lifting hundreds of pounds. Since I do not see that ever happening, I decided to try a free weight system, and within a month and a half I could really see and feel a difference in my body. There was very little bulk, and that is a relief, but my muscles are bigger, longer, leaner, and definitely stronger. I really like the definition I have in my shoulders and arms, and I feel more capable of doing things I would not have attempted before, like playing Tennis. Thanks to my free weight system, I now have a terrific backhand and I actually get to win a match once in a while, and it is a good thing, too, because my tennis pride could not take much more of a beating without crumbling.
